Phrasal verb


What are phrasal verbs?

A phrasal verb is a verb plus a preposition or adverb which creates a meaning different from the original verb.

A.
Add up: make sense
Ask out: invite on a date
Add up: calculate a sum
Ask over: invite to one's home

B.
Bumped into: to meet accidentally
Brush: to improve
Born out: fulfilled
Blow up: burst
Back up: give support
Bear on: have to do with
Bear with be patient
Blow in: visit unexpectedly
Blow over: pass without creating a problem
Break in: interrupt
Break up: end a relationship
Bring around: change someone's mind, convince someone
Bring on: cause something

C.
Come across: to see accidentally
Called in on: to visit a sick person
Calm down: relax
Check over: examine
Came round: regain consciousness
Cut through: interrupt
Call up: telephone
Care for: like someone or something
Carry on about: continue in an annoying way
Check in: enter a hospital, hotel
Check on: make sure something is OK
Check out: leave a hotel, hospital
Cheer up: make someone feel cheerful

مابين الحب واللاحب

كانت خطوة ,,,,, كانت شعرة

قاومت كثيرا حتى لا اخطوها ,,,حتى لا أقطعها

وكنت بعمري أصونها...

وصمتك الطويل,,,أصر إلا أن يقطعني ويقطعها..

وقد قطعها...!!
